RMT’s R-SMART™ Series of planetary-type hydraulic four roll machines are built for the fabricator who requires exacting precision in every part. RMT’s R-GIANT™ Series of rectilinear-type hydraulic four-roll machines are made to handle larger capacity plates. RMT’s R-HYBRID™ Series of planetary-type hydraulic three-roll machines are variable geometry plate rolls designed to function as press brake/plate roll hybrids.
All RMT plate roll options feature a PLC to control operations, with NC as an available option on all models, and CNC available for R-SMART and R-GIANT machines. RMT plate rolls are constructed from stress-relieve steel for long lives of strenuous work, and they sport induction-hardened and polished AISI 1050 carbon steel rolls.
Throughout the fabrication industry, RMT’s hydraulic plate rolling machines can be found forming such diverse structures as barrels, traffic barriers, pressure vessels, aircraft panels, wind towers, grain silos, and rocket fuel tanks. Plate Rolls Available from RMT
The following are Revolution Machine Tool’s current lineup of plate rolls. Machine capacities are reflected in the model numbers, with the first digits indicating the approximate length of the machine in feet and the last digits reflecting the diameter of the top roll in hundredths of an inch. For example, the RMT R-GIANT 10-2047 plate roll has a 10′ 2″ bending length and a 20.47″ top roll diameter.
Pre-bending thickness capacities are indicated for rolling a minimum internal diameter of 1.5 times the diameter of the top roll. The material thickness can be greater for regular bending without pre-bending. For example, the 6′ 8″ R-SMART 6-787 plate roll has a pre-bending capacity of 1/4″ at 1.5 times the 7.87″ diameter of the machine’s top roll but can bend 5/16″ plate into a cylinder with a minimum internal diameter three times that of the top roll, and 3/8″ plate to five times the diameter.
